《浮岛》是一次跨界综合性的创作，其前身可追溯到“破晓”跨界实验创作周中所产生的表演作品《井》，那是一場糅合建筑设计，新媒体，声音实验与表演的现场呈现。已然成为一次多领域的集合创作。上百根在建筑时被使用过的脚手钢架所搭建而成的矩阵，既是一个独立的装置也是一个表演的空间。《浮岛》通过旧物叙事，在器物承载的历史性背后，以奇幻的视觉方式讲述某种带有城市化进程中遗迹般的故事。

这件作品无论从哪个方面去梳理，都是一次新颖的艺术创作尝试。几支团队在保持各自专业领域的独立性下，相互呼应，完成了《浮岛》的共同创作。

Floating Island is a cross-border and comprehensive work. Its predecessor can be traced to the work Well producedin cross-border and experimental creation week of the First Light programme, which is a live show that combines architecture, new media, experimental sound and performance. It has already become a collective creation of various domains. The matrix made of hundreds of used scaffold steel is more like an installation. Behind the history of material artifact, Floating Island tells a story about the remains under urbanization by the visual style of fantasy and the narrative of obsolete objects.

It is a novel artistic creation, no matter how this work is interpreted from any perspective. Several teams of different background maintain the independence of their own fields as well as coordinate with each other, consequently completing the collective creation of Floating Island.
